My dreams are slowly coming true :P first Friends and now... I have my GGs (Gilmore Girls) DVD collection COMPLETE!!!! (I love BigW, cheap DVDs <3) and yaaaayyy!! This is my second fave show EVERRRR! Ever since the very first time I watched it I just found something SO unique and fresh in it it was easy to get obsessed. There was really one main reason why this show got to be so popular and memorable, and everyone that's ever watched it know what it is... THE SCRIPT. Amy is a BRILLIANT BRILLIANT woman <3 (and her hubby too!) it is just so... different to anything else I've ever seen on TV and not just because the lines are SO witty and fast-paced (they just burst out of them) but so smart. I'd never seen a show capable of making so many references to some of the best literature, music, films and tv shows ever seen, besides random trivia and current affairs. You just HAVE TO appreciate someone that's SO knowledgeable and can do something so great with it. I just love it <3 and well the whole mother-daughter thing, from generation to generation... just brilliant. It's nice knowing that although it's extremely funny at the same time it's not afraid of going to the very core of why sometimes things go so wrong, why sometimes your own family are the only people that can't understand you... but why you can't help but ALWAYS love them. One of the best shows ever as far as I'm concerned <3

I watched this episode recently and this part just stood out SO much... I just love it, it’s SOOOO brilliant and hilarious! David has really made Ross such a remarkable character, I don’t think anyone could play it like him! :D Loves it!

Yesssssssssssssssss! Yes yes yes! Wooooooooooooooo! Jack woooooooooon!!!! YAY! I'm sooo so so so happy!!! I wanted him to win SO badly! And I was SO nervous when they were about to give the results! But I just knew he had to win! Cos he was without a doubt the BEST dancer that danced on the show and now we know Australia could see that! (and of course I like to think that my last entry here is what made that happen! :P) So yaaaaaaaaaaaay for him! That guy has such a big career in front of him now! He totally deserves it! :D I was really excited about the finale ever since I woke up this morning! And gosh it was SOOO good! Honestly, it was the best! I loved it! The very first choreography especially, with all the top 20 on stage and the main choreographers AND the judges! What a nice surprise that was! It was great really! The show in general was really amazing, it doesn't surprise me it became such a hit here cos I don't think the country had ever seen anything like it! And damn I'm gonna miss it now! We're gonna have to wait till NEXT year! Ugh! But well, looking forwards to it! :D

For those of you who have been watching the 'So you think you can dance' show! I HOPE you're all going to vote for Jack! :P C'mon guys pleasssse? :P hahaha, I just want him to win SO badly! Cos he's just SO good! Honestly I love all of the dancers in the top 4, I think they're all great! But Jack IS the best! Why? Because well..., like my mum would say, he has 'the feeling'. He's just dynamic and passionate every time he dances and has such an amazing energy! It's beautiful to watch him dance and though all the other guys ARE really great he stands out, cos to me it's obvious he dances with his heart <3. So I really want him to win! So if you could all vote for him I'd really appreciate it :P hehehe! ;) Here's just ONE example of why he deserves to win:

If he doesn't win well... I'll be happy with whoever wins really but I think it'd be the RIGHT decision if Jack takes it :P So yeah! Can't wait till Sunday! *crosses fingers* VOTE JACK!!! :D

Channel Ten had the BRILLIANT idea of re-airing the Friends episodes from the VERY beginning every single day at 7 p.m! Yaaaaaayy!! Finally Australian TV does something right! I’m SO proud! Hahahaha but also I’m THRILLED! Not only because I never saw Friends since the VERY beginning (though I already had half season 1 on tapes I bought ages ago…) but we get to watch an episode EVERY day! It’s just awesome! I’m gonna get to see all those episodes I could never watch before! And I’m taping ALL of them! (well obviously except the ones I already have! lol) And yeah I know that’s gonna be a LOT of tapes lol but I’m up for it! I’m hopefully gonna have the ENTIRE series at the end! Woooo! It’s awesome! You can NEVER get enough Friends! :D

I started reading Jane Eyre right at the beginning of the semester, unfortunately because of uni I couldn’t finish it, I read enough though to completely fall in love with it. A week ago I realized ABC was airing a mini-series of Jane Eyre so I knew I had to watch it, even though I knew it would spoil the plot for me… I just had to watch it… and I’m glad I did! It was BEAUTIFUL! :) I have to admit at first I didn’t like it much cos I felt they rushed through her childhood a bit too quickly, but magic happened when Ruth Wilson appeared on the screen… I don’t know if this has happened to any of you before but usually when you read a book and about a character you have this image of them in your head, it’s not a precise image but an idea of what they look like, of their aura… and then when you see that story put on images on TV usually it’s a bit strange to see that the actors do not always become that character you once got to know. But in this series… call me crazy but I didn’t see any actors… I didn’t see an actress PLAY Jane Eyre… I saw Jane Eyre! It was HER! It was EXACTLY what I imagined she would be, her face, her expression, her composure… I was blown away! I’d never heard of Ruth Wilson before but I have to take my hat off to her cos she’s such a natural actress, everything she did and say was part of the character and it didn’t even look like she tried! She didn’t act the part she lived it! She WAS Jane, and I’m truly grateful because such a WONDERFUL character deserves that much. The rest of the cast was wonderful too and I LOVED the way they showed the love story between Jane and Mr. Rochester, so beautiful yet not so corny… it was pretty unique. I won’t talk about the plot cos I’ll leave that for when I review the book, which I’m getting tomorrow! Wooooo! :D And hopefully I’ll get the DVD of these series too! If any of you get the chance to watch it, WATCH IT! :D

Hace poco me compré el DVD de la primera temporada de la serie de Ugly Betty, no sólo porque es mi show favorito sino porque quería que mi mamá lo viera, y el DVD veniá con la opción de ver toda la serie doblada al español. Nos la pusimos a ver y de verdad… lo más que veía… lo más que me daba rabia :P. Quizás sea porque la actuación de los actores de este show es TAN perfecta que cualquier otra cosa no parezca suficiente… pero honestamente el doblaje que le hicieron no sólo no le hizo justicia a los personajes sino que le quitó mucho brillo al show en general (y eso si NUNCA se los voy a perdonar…). Lo que pasa es que cuando se dice algo la cosa NO está en lo que se dice… sino en cómo se dice: la entonación, las pausas, la emoción que se le tiene que poner a ciertas palabras es lo clave, lo que hace un frase… y si eso no se hace bien entonces le quitan la vida al guión, y eso realmente es una pena. En general creo que cuando un doblaje no se hace bien malogran la magia de la actuación… yo he visto doblajes MUY buenos! (el de Los Simpsons por ejemplo) Doblar no debe ser sólo sobre decir el guión sino realmente expresarlo de la manera que se pretendía originalmente, y es una pena que no siempre se le de el trabajo y esfuerzo suficiente porque es hermoso compartir algo en más de un idioma, pero si no se hace bien se pierde mucho en el proceso y no se comparte todo.

I know this is OLD now (from two years ago :P) but I was watching Australian Idol tonight and I had a reminiscence for my fave Australian Idol performances so far, both of which are sang by the same singer: Emily Williams (who SHOULD HAVE won the contest that year! UGH!). I just LOOOOOOOOOOVE these two songs not only cos well the songs are AWESOME but her voice is MAGIC <3. For those of you who’ve never seen this before I do hope you like them:
