For those of you who are interested.

If you want to read Shakespeare, if you are truly and genuinely interested in everything that made this man a genius...

you have to read about Shakespeare.

You can't just read the plays and think it's all there, it isn't.

When you read his words you will have an understanding but there is SO much more to it than you can imagine...

In order to really understand the degree of brilliance he had you need to be aware of everything he didn't say. Every hidden meaning, story, pun and idea.

The amount of attention he paid to every little thing... the way he calculated for everything to come together and represent something much bigger than everything ever available to what we can understand and see...

That's where the brilliance lies.

(Well... a big part of it anyway, cos that's not even considering his words (<3 <3 <3), which are in itself a masterpiece)

... going to the hair dresser. It's an annoying/nerve-wracking experience. First off, they sit you in front of a mirror, ask you NOT to move and they start messing around with your hair. So all the while you're there, however long it takes... which is usually NOT a very short period of time, you have NOTHING else to do but stare at your own face... and it's not like you even look good, because while they're arranging your hair they put it up in all these funny ways kinda making you look like an older uglier and messier version of Pebbles... so there you are, being pretty much FORCED to stare at your own reflection in NOT one of your best moments. Not very cool. On top of that, all the time you keep seeing how they do all these things to your hair, they keep cutting it shorter and shorter... and all the time you can't help but think "Oh my God... what have I done?! That's too short... did I tell them to cut it that short??? Doesn't it look a bit too short now? She should just stop using those bloody scissors, oh gosh..." and also you start questioning if whether the hair-style you chose was really the correct one, because what if it DOESN'T suit you? What if it DOESN'T look good??? This is gonna be on your head for God knows how long, and if something goes wrong... you're screwed. Unlike any other part of your body you can't hide your head, not well and not for long. If something goes wrong then the consequences will be bad, REALLY bad.

*sighs*

I'm going to the hair-dresser either tomorrow or some day soon... and even worse, I've decided to experiment. For 23 years I've woken up to look in the mirror and see BLACK ( very black) hair on my head, I don't know anything else. For my own personal and sentimental reasons I always REFUSED to make it a different colour, however... for some reason I have recently changed my mind. I don't want any drastic changes, but.. I'm thinking it's time now.

... I'm nervous...

I'm never good with first listens... I'm VERY bad and annoying with songs when I hear them for the first time. I RARELY like them... out of ten songs I will like one or maybe two at the MOST =/ It suxs... I really don't like that about myself but oh well... so I thought maybe I should give it some time before I write some kind of review or something... but this isn't really about that. I don't want to review the album (I would never dare... I really don't think I'd be good at it), I just... f*ck I just need to say some things =P

Aaaah... *sighs* well, the only thing I can say is that... well, she was bound to f*ck up sooner or later. She's spent over ten years hitting home runs... time after time.. she's only human, this was bound to happen. I mean it's not HORRIBLE but it's not Shakira, as far as I'm concerned. I'm all for letting artists experiment with new genres and mixing different things together and GROWING with their musical sound. But she's gone totally off the line, she's lost that taste that would give every song a Shakira factor... she's moved on to something completely different and (well to me at least) it doesn't work (I felt like I was listening to Kylie Minogue...) . I loved 'Loba' (yes, the spanish version not the english one) and 'Did it again' (yes the english verison, not the spanish one) but it wasn't until 'Gypsy' came on that I felt I could breathe. Maybe it will grow on me with time... once I get used to the "new sound" (although GOSH I'm so totally hating this new 'electronic' sound that's out there lately...) but that first impression was shocking. It was almost painful... and I'd never had that while listening to Shaki before.

Ah man it hurts me to write this... it really does =P I DO still love her though, this is not gonna make me any less of a fan. I know she's a genius, but she's only human... we are never always going to get it right, it's OK. As far as I'm concerned anyway... she could quit music tomorrow and to me it'd be totally fine. She's already done MORE THAN ENOUGH. She's over-proven herself. Ans she's still awesome but.... ay Shakiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii...........
